Client Strategy Manager - Art & Auctions, Hong Kong

About the role

Reporting to the Regional Client Strategy Director (APAC), the Client Strategy Manager builds deep knowledge of the art and auction ecosystem in Hong Kong, its collectors and their activities, develops practical client engagement strategies and helps drive client engagement with Christie's specialists, client advisors and the Chairman's Office.

Key responsibilities

• Research art collectors, their collections and activities, and the art and auction industry in Hong Kong, drawing insights for client engagement
• Identify high-potential consignors and bidders and develop engagement plans with specialist department heads, the client advisory team and the Chairman's Office
• Analyse data in Christie's databases, files and catalogues to recommend actions for campaigns, consignment and selling efforts
• Work with specialists and client advisors on client development, debrief meetings and follow up on opportunities
• Support client outreach for Christie's global sales, organize client reviews, record minutes and drive action points
• Prepare client transaction analyses and reports for the Head of Marketing, Communications and Client Strategy, Asia Pacific
• Maintain client and objects information in Christie's databases in line with corporate data governance

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree from a recognized university
• At least six years of successful experience in the art, auction, private banking, luxury or management consulting industries
• Good knowledge of the global art and auction industries, collecting trends and the Hong Kong art ecosystem
• Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
• Strong written, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills, with attention to detail and ability to prioritize and work under pressure
