Business Development Advisor

About the role

Hogan Lovells Cadwalader, a global law firm with more than 3,100 lawyers across 36+ offices, is looking for a Business Development Advisor in Hong Kong. The role supports the partners of the Corporate & Finance Practice Group and reports to the regional Marketing and Business Development lead for C&F based in Singapore. It works with local, regional and global M&BD teams on the full business development and marketing function.

Key responsibilities

• Business proposals: draft credentials statements, proposals and presentations in Chinese and English, working with the M&BD Manager and partners
• Event management: coordinate panel and speaking engagements, seminars and conferences, social events and receptions
• Directory submissions: coordinate submissions and interviews for legal directories, league tables, awards and surveys
• Client development: assist the M&BD Manager with the regional client development programme
• Collateral management: maintain office and practice profiles, lawyers' profiles and PowerPoint presentations
• Information maintenance: keep the credentials, experience and CV databases, photo library, website and InterAction up to date
• Ad-hoc projects: help with client, industry and market research

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in business administration, marketing or law
• At least 2 years of business development and marketing experience, preferably in professional services
• Excellent communication, organization and attention to detail, including proofreading
• Ability to work independently and in a team under pressure, with discretion on confidential information
• Spoken and written English and Chinese are essential

Required skills

• Advanced PC skills: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Ability to learn InterAction, iPublish, pitch systems and other database tools
