Co-op Internship 2027 - Asia Marketing Strategy & Business Planning (6 months)

About the role

Manulife Asia aims to become the leading pan-Asian insurer, and its Regional Marketing team bridges Global Marketing and individual countries to build strategies and programs for digital and customer ambitions. This 6-month co-op internship sits within Strategy & Business Planning, giving management exposure through daily interaction with senior stakeholders such as Chief Marketing Officers and regional team leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Support regional marketing strategy and annual business planning, prepare executive-ready presentations, dashboards and briefing notes, and help coordinate planning sessions and follow-ups
• Support quarterly expense reviews and annual budgeting with Finance and market teams, identify cost optimization and reinvestment opportunities, and track marketing performance metrics
• Use AI-enabled tools to speed up data synthesis, benchmarking and reporting
• Coordinate cross-functional marketing initiatives, manage multiple workstreams and drive follow-through on action items
• Support internal communications such as newsletters, townhalls and learning sessions, and maintain shared planning tools and calendars
• Streamline reporting, documentation and governance, and assist with procurement, delegation of authority and onboarding while keeping confidentiality

Required profile

• Experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, Notion AI) to improve research, synthesis, drafting and workflow
• Clear, concise communication and ability to work across functions and cultures
• Proactive, ownership mindset and comfort with ambiguity
• Strong prioritization and multitasking in a fast-paced environment
• Analytical thinker able to turn data into clear insights

Required skills

• Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
• Familiarity with budgeting or planning tools is a plus
