Consultant – Engineering Risk

About the role

Join Marsh's Risk Consulting team in Hong Kong to conduct engineering risk assessments for client assets. You will evaluate safety conditions, perform audits, and provide recommendations to ensure compliance with local regulations and global standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct risk evaluation surveys and site inspections of facilities, identifying exposures to occupants and assets.
• Perform safety audits, gap analyses, and compare findings against Hong Kong codes, NFPA and other standards.
• Measure environmental data such as ventilation rates, illuminance and floor conditions.
• Prepare detailed reports summarising findings and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to meet deadlines.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Property Management, Occupational Safety and Health or related field (advantageous).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in engineering, property, safety or facility management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Chinese.
• Independent, proactive, self‑motivated with strong problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Familiarity with building services systems.
• Knowledge of fire protection systems and related codes.
• Ability to conduct site measurements of ventilation rates and illuminance.
