Corporate Accounting Intern

About the role

Hawksford is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic corporate accounting intern based in Kowloon, Hong Kong. The intern works under the guidance of a mentor to learn the basics of the firm's accounting and tax services, its daily operations and practice, and local tax regulations, with preparation for further training or engagement in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting operations, data entry, bank receipts and payments and intercompany reconciliations
• Support senior staff in providing full accounting services to clients
• Assist in month-end closing
• Prepare bank movement details, manage bank payments and payment schedules, and prepare cash flow forecasts
• Draft management reports and related schedules under supervision
• Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation
• Provide audit assistance, including preparing documents, managing document flow between client and auditor, reviewing draft audit reports and preparing tax returns
• Help with other ad hoc accounting assignments
