Cyber Security Specialist

About the role

VDX, a licensed digital‑asset trading platform serving institutional clients, is expanding its cyber‑security capabilities. We are seeking a hands‑on Cyber Security Specialist who will operate across Security Operations (SecOps) and Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) to protect our fast‑growing fintech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, investigate and respond to security events, alerts, vulnerabilities and emerging threats across corporate and production systems.
• Lead incident response activities, including remediation, root‑cause analysis and post‑incident improvement.
• Manage vulnerability management processes: identification, prioritisation, remediation tracking and closure.
• Operate and enhance security monitoring tools such as SIEM, security logging and alerting platforms.
• Develop and maintain security SOPs, incident‑response playbooks and operational procedures.
• Support cloud security, identity and access management, endpoint security and other enterprise initiatives.
• Assist in building and maintaining the information‑security governance framework, policies, standards and procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments, drive remediation, and support audits, regulatory reviews and compliance projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Security, Network Security or related field, or equivalent professional certification (CISP, CISSP, CISA, Security+).
• Hands‑on experience in both security operations and security governance/risk/compliance.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as ISO 27001 and NIST CSF.

Required skills

• SIEM platforms – Splunk, Elastic, Microsoft Sentinel, Sumo Logic.
• Vulnerability management and incident response.
• Cloud security and Identity & Access Management (IAM).
• Security monitoring and logging.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001 and NIST CSF.
