About the role
We are looking for a motivated Demi / Commis Chef to join Akira Back, our innovative contemporary Japanese restaurant in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will support the kitchen team in delivering consistent, high-quality dishes in a fast-paced, luxury environment.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and handle daily mise en place efficiently.
- Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, texture, and presentation.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness at all times.
- Prepare dishes in a professional manner that meets company standards.
- Perform any other duties and ad‑hoc assignments as directed.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years of culinary experience in hotels, luxury Western restaurants, or fine‑dining establishments.
- Solid knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and food preparation techniques.
- A team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
