Deputy IT Manager / System Administrator

About the role

Join the IT team of a leading international bank as a Deputy IT Manager / System Administrator. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of the bank's critical server and storage infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and manage server operating systems, middleware, SAN storage, virtualization platforms, and backup solutions.
• Design, implement, and sustain High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) architectures.
• Monitor system performance and capacity, troubleshoot incidents, and conduct root‑cause analysis.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (Python, Shell) and enforce baseline configurations and security settings.
• Define backup strategies, verify backup integrity, and produce related policies, standards, and documentation.
• Participate in daily project planning, implementation, and technology optimisation initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher; technical certifications are a plus.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with at least one listed technology stack.
• Strong analytical thinking, communication skills in Mandarin and English; Cantonese is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and adhere to bank policies.
