Finance and Accounting Manager

About the role

We are a well‑established subcontractor operating in the engineering and construction sector. We are looking for an experienced Finance & Accounting Manager to lead our finance function, ensure accurate reporting, and provide strategic financial support as we deliver complex projects.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting and finance operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, fixed assets, and month‑end/year‑end closing.
• Prepare timely management accounts, financial statements, cash‑flow forecasts and variance analysis.
• Manage budgeting, costing and project‑related financial tracking for construction and engineering contracts.
• Ensure compliance with Hong Kong accounting standards, tax regulations and internal control policies.
• Supervise and develop the finance team and coordinate cost control with site and project teams.
• Support external audits, statutory filings and banking/financing arrangements.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional qualification (HKICPA, ACCA, CPA) preferred.
• Solid experience managing finance and accounting functions, ideally within engineering, construction or subcontracting.
• Proven ability to handle multi‑site operations and a large workforce.
• Strong knowledge of Hong Kong accounting standards, tax and compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical, leadership and communication abilities.
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese).
