Head of Finance – International School

About the role

The school is seeking a senior finance leader to provide strategic financial oversight, governance and planning. Reporting to the Head of School and Management Committee, you will ensure financial integrity while actively managing day‑to‑day operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a finance team of nine, overseeing financial management, reporting and compliance.
• Prepare and present board and committee papers, ensuring clear communication of financial information.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and capital‑asset oversight.
• Oversee procurement, tendering and contract management, ensuring alignment with institutional policies.
• Act as the focal point for governance, audit and regulatory compliance, including interaction with the Education Bureau.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders, providing business partnership and risk‑management insights.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (e.g., CPA, ACCA) with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
• Proven senior‑level finance leadership in service‑driven sectors such as education or NGOs.
• Experience interfacing with public bodies and handling regulatory requirements.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for board‑level interactions.
