IT Security Specialist - Financial Services

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT Security Specialist to join a leading financial services organization in Hong Kong. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing cybersecurity solutions across the enterprise, ensuring robust protection of critical assets.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert for research, design, procurement, implementation, and optimization of cybersecurity solutions.
• Participate in the full system development lifecycle, including architecture, technical requirements, documentation, testing, training, maintenance, and support.
• Provide administration, support, and troubleshooting for security systems and lead integration efforts.
• Create and maintain security orchestration and automation workflows, including AI‑enabled automation.
• Develop operating procedures, backup and disaster recovery plans, vulnerability management, patching, monitoring, and auditing.
• Identify, analyze, and respond to security incidents, conduct vulnerability assessments, and support penetration testing.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure compliance and effective implementation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Over 5 years of experience in cybersecurity consulting, operations, or solution implementation.
• Strong understanding of IT security frameworks such as ISO 27001 and NIST.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and DevSecOps tools.
