Library & IT Support Specialist

About the role

This position combines advanced IT operations with smart library management to support campus learning environments. The specialist will maintain network and server infrastructure, automate administrative workflows with AI, and enhance digital library services.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, monitor and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi, routers, switches, firewalls and VPNs; manage DHCP, DNS and Active Directory/LDAP services.
• Deploy and maintain Windows and Linux servers, handle virtualization, backups, disaster recovery and patch management.
• Develop automation scripts in Python, Shell or JavaScript and integrate generative AI tools for workflow efficiency.
• Administer user access and identity across Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 and school management systems.
• Provide first‑line help‑desk support for Windows, macOS, iOS and Android devices and deliver AV support for campus events.
• Maintain the Library Management System, manage digital catalogues, e‑books and online academic databases, and run reading‑promotion initiatives.
• Handle daily library operations, asset tagging, inventory audits and circulation management.
• Perform clerical tasks, manage IT and library asset inventories and coordinate with vendors.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, Software Engineering or a related field.
