Maintenance Manager – Airport Baggage Systems

About the role

Vanderlande is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the site‑based maintenance team at Hong Kong International Airport Terminal 2. The role focuses on ensuring the reliability and performance of automated baggage handling systems while maintaining a safe, efficient work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the on‑site maintenance team and service contract activities.
• Communicate effectively with project teams, maintenance partners, and customers.
• Set priorities, allocate work, and monitor progress and quality.
• Drive system reliability, minimize downtime, and maximize productivity.
• Identify recurring issues and develop improvement initiatives.
• Manage and optimise the CMMS and related maintenance tooling.
• Oversee spare‑parts inventory in the CMMS, balancing availability with cost.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a maintenance management role, preferably with automated baggage or material handling systems.
• Strong leadership and team‑management capabilities.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Effective communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Commitment to health, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Background in industrial, logistics, or manufacturing environments.
