Murex Functional Consultant

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced Murex Functional Consultant to support a Murex implementation or change project in Hong Kong. You will define, configure, validate and support functional solutions across Front Office, Middle Office and Back Office.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements and translate them into functional Murex designs, identifying gaps and recommending solutions.
• Perform hands‑on configuration of Murex components such as product setup, pricing parameters, market data, settlement logic and reporting.
• Support end‑to‑end trade‑lifecycle processes, validate product behaviour and troubleshoot pricing, risk, settlement and accounting issues.
• Define test scenarios, support unit, system, integration and UAT testing, and investigate defects.
• Collaborate with business users, BAs, developers and project managers, providing documentation and post‑go‑live hyper‑care support.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Murex Functional Consultant on implementation or change projects.
• Strong understanding of financial products, trade lifecycle and market data.
• Ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders and communicate functional risks.

Required skills

• Murex functional configuration (Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office).
• Knowledge of derivatives, rates, FX, credit, fixed income, equities or commodities.
• Experience with MxML, workflow, static and market data, reporting and messaging.
• SQL or data analysis skills.
