Platform Engineer / SRE – Global Quant Trading Firm (Hong Kong)

About the role

Join a leading global quantitative trading firm as a Platform Engineer / Site Reliability Engineer. You will own the design, implementation, and operation of the high‑performance infrastructure that powers mission‑critical trading systems worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable platform infrastructure for trading applications.
• Develop and optimise CI/CD pipelines to accelerate software delivery.
• Implement observability solutions, including monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting.
• Create automation and self‑service tooling used by engineering teams.
• Support containerised workloads and orchestrate large‑scale environments with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Drive reliability, performance, and scalability improvements across distributed systems and middleware.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Platform Engineer, SRE, or DevOps Engineer.
• Strong Linux systems knowledge and automation expertise.
• Track record of building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands‑on experience with containerisation and orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Solid understanding of monitoring, logging, and observability platforms.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and infrastructure automation.
• Proficient scripting/programming skills (Python, Go, Bash or similar).
• Passion for building reliable, highly available platforms.
