Principal – Consumer, Telco & Technology

About the role

Oliver Wyman is seeking a Principal to lead complex client projects in the Consumer, Telco and Technology sectors. The role involves day‑to‑day leadership of engagements, building client relationships and contributing to firm growth.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day leadership of client projects and manage aspects of the client relationship and commercial process, partnering with senior partners.
• Ensure on‑time delivery that meets or exceeds agreed goals, leveraging Oliver Wyman best practices and technical competence.
• Support the Partner group in project delivery through accurate, high‑quality case execution.
• Identify new business opportunities and create intellectual capital through thought leadership.
• Oversee consulting teams as they develop hypotheses, review client information, conduct interviews, derive insights and produce deliverables.
• Lead firm‑building activities and act as a role model for firm values, maintaining a strong personal brand.

Required profile

• 7‑10 years of relevant experience in Retail, Consumer Goods, Telecommunications or Technology, preferably from a top‑tier strategy consulting firm or comparable industry role.
• Proven track record of leading and managing teams or work streams in fast‑paced, demanding environments.
• Strong strategic problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities, especially to senior executives.
• Creative mindset with the ability to generate novel ideas for client challenges.
• Willingness to travel as required.
