Senior Purchasing Executive

About the role

The Senior Purchasing Executive will set direction for key procurement categories, especially Fixed Network Products & Equipment and Contractor Services. The role ensures supply availability, meets quality standards, and delivers best value while managing strategic supplier relationships and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Define and steer procurement strategies for Fixed Network Products, Equipment and Contractor Services.
• Maintain supply availability, uphold quality standards and achieve optimal value for the organization.
• Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships, conducting periodic performance and quality reviews.
• Issue, evaluate, shortlist, negotiate and finalize Tender/RFP/RFQ processes in line with purchasing policies.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, providing advice and influencing decisions to achieve results.
• Oversee contract negotiations to secure competitive cost, quality and service.
• Contribute to purchasing savings plans and provide insight on outcomes.
• Support workflow streamlining, continuous improvement and ad‑hoc projects as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of procurement and supply chain experience with supervisory exposure.
• Proven procurement experience in a sizable organization (preferred).
• Familiarity with Quality System Requirements, including ISO standards.
• Knowledge of international trade controls, sanction laws and regulations (highly preferred).
• Strong negotiation, influencing and prioritisation abilities.
• Excellent teamwork and partnership skills with internal and external stakeholders.
