Retail Director, Hong Kong & Macau

About the role

The Retail Director will lead Chopard’s retail operations in Hong Kong and Macau, driving the implementation of the retail strategy to meet long‑term financial and brand objectives. The role oversees day‑to‑day activities of the boutique network, with a focus on expanding the high‑end segment of Haute Joaillerie and Haute Horlogerie, while ensuring service excellence and disciplined discount management.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the retail strategy for Hong Kong and Macau in line with corporate objectives.
• Manage daily operations of the retail network to achieve monthly, quarterly and yearly sales targets.
• Develop the Prince’s Building flagship boutique, emphasizing high‑end jewellery and watch sales, service excellence and discount control.
• Act as brand ambassador at meetings, events, charity dinners and other functions.
• Coordinate retail activities with HQ and local departments such as Marketing, Customer Service, Finance, Merchandising, Logistics and HR.
• Set up and execute the yearly retail marketing plan and CRM strategy to build the client database.
• Define product, training and financial needs for the retail department.
• Grow the high‑end segment by strengthening VIP relationships, expanding business networks and monitoring market intelligence.
• Oversee boutique managers, define missions and KPIs, and ensure staff are trained on new products and brand initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing luxury retail operations, preferably in jewellery or watch sectors.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of achieving sales targets.
• Ability to lead and develop boutique teams, set clear objectives and monitor performance.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills with VIP clients and business partners.
• Deep understanding of market dynamics, competitor activities and high‑end client expectations.
