Senior Assistant Relationship Manager, Client Support Desk

About the role

RBC Wealth Management Asia (WMA) is looking for a Senior Assistant Relationship Manager to join its Client Support Desk in Hong Kong. Reporting to the Heads of Client Support Desk, you will support the entire WMA, contribute to its growth strategy, help train and develop new relationship managers and assist in onboarding new clients.

Key responsibilities

• Independently handle new account openings, account maintenance, asset transfers, loans, payments, order taking and product recommendations.
• Mentor the onboarding of new relationship managers through scheduled trainings and regular catch-ups.
• Assist and guide new clients and relationship managers on RBC WMA's offerings and product capabilities.
• Ensure timely and accurate execution of client requests and transactions, and independently manage client accounts and relationships, including product and service queries, pricing and execution.
• Adhere to the bank's code of conduct, KYC, due diligence, AML and cross-border regulatory compliance.
• Build good working relationships with stakeholders, partner with the Sales Management Office on WMA growth initiatives and take part in projects improving WMA platforms and client experience.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Management, Finance, Economics or another relevant professional finance qualification.
• At least 3-5 years' experience in private banking or wealth management, preferably in ARM or client due diligence roles.
• HKSI Licensing Examination Papers 1, 7 and 8 or equivalent.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin is essential.
• Nice to have: Avaloq system knowledge, certified ECF qualification or ECF on AML/CFT certification.

Required skills

• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, highly articulate in written and verbal business communication.
• Solid investment products knowledge and understanding of external regulations.
• Knowledge of KYC/AML/compliance.
• Advanced Bloomberg and Reuters.
