Senior Buyer – Healthcare

About the role

The Senior Buyer is a key commercial role and project manager that supports the buying manager in managing all Asia purchasing activities across relevant healthcare categories. The position oversees brand and portfolio management for Boots Pharmaceuticals, Walgreens, a potential Latin America own brand and the wholesale brand Alvita.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver category sourcing strategies and drive year‑on‑year growth in the assigned area.
• Analyse business situations independently and make quality sourcing decisions.
• Lead end‑to‑end projects, ensuring delivery on time, in full and meeting all KPIs.
• Manage supplier development, partnering with Joint Business Partners to meet company requirements.
• Collaborate with internal customers across markets to understand needs and provide market insight.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for medical devices in the US and Europe.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of sourcing and product development experience in the UK and US retail markets.
• Experience in medical device sourcing and private‑label product development is preferred.
• Strong analytical and logical thinking with the ability to make effective decisions.
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, able to interact with all organisational levels.
• Fluent in English and Putonghua, both written and spoken.
