Senior Packaging Buyer – Beauty & Personal Care

About the role

We are looking for a commercially driven Senior Packaging Buyer to join The Boots Group in Hong Kong. The role will source innovative, cost‑effective packaging for fast‑paced beauty new product development, working closely with brand, product development and supply‑chain teams.

Key responsibilities

• Source primary, secondary and component packaging across Asia within global supplier frameworks.
• Lead RFQs, cost analysis and negotiations to achieve savings, cost avoidance and brand value.
• Develop sourcing plans that meet cost, quality, sustainability and launch targets.
• Manage supplier performance, capacity, lead times, continuity and commercial risk.
• Negotiate contracts, drive value engineering and cost reduction.
• Provide clear recommendations, project updates and early escalation of delivery risks.

Required profile

• Proven experience in packaging buying, sourcing or procurement, preferably in beauty, personal care or consumer goods.
• Strong commercial judgement and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and tight launch deadlines with accuracy.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Packaging manufacturing knowledge.
• Tooling, decoration and artwork processes.
• Understanding of sustainable packaging and responsible sourcing.
• Established packaging supplier network across China and wider Asia.
