Senior Python Developer – Banking Data Practice

About the role

Capco is seeking a Senior Consultant to lead Python‑driven data and analytics initiatives for top‑tier financial services clients in Hong Kong. You will design, develop and maintain data pipelines, analytical models and automation frameworks while contributing to the growth of the HK and global Data Practice.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of complex data transformation projects with a focus on Python‑based solutions.
• Design, develop and maintain Python data pipelines, analytical models and reusable components.
• Refactor existing Python code to improve performance, scalability and maintainability.
• Apply Python for data analysis, modelling and transformation to support reporting, analytics and AI/ML use cases.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into production‑ready Python solutions.
• Produce technical documentation and data artefacts for development teams and client delivery.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of Python development experience within Financial Services.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing, data modelling and data governance.
• Experience working in SDLC and Agile delivery environments.
• Immediate availability is highly preferred.

Required skills

• Python (pandas, NumPy and related libraries).
• Data warehousing concepts and data modelling principles.
• FIS tools such as Prophet and PMCS.
• Familiarity with IFRS‑related platforms (preferred).
