Senior Security Engineer (AWS Cloud)

About the role

BTSE Group is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to lead the protection of its cloud and data‑center environments. The position is heavily focused on AWS cloud security while also covering on‑premise infrastructure, requiring a proactive, independent approach to identifying and remediating risks.

Key responsibilities

• Identify security gaps and lead end‑to‑end security projects across AWS and on‑premise systems.
• Own cloud‑native monitoring, threat detection, and posture management, extending equivalent coverage to data‑center assets.
• Manage a centralized Identity and Access Management platform, enforcing least‑privilege policies and organization‑wide guardrails.
• Design and enforce encryption policies for data at rest and in transit, and conduct regular access reviews.
• Run the full vulnerability management lifecycle, from scanning to remediation verification.
• Define server hardening standards, secure container workloads, and implement image scanning, runtime security, and network policies.
• Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline security operations.
• Participate in incident response, investigate breaches, and perform root‑cause analysis.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in cloud security, with a strong focus on AWS.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, own initiatives and coordinate across Cloud, DevOps and other teams.
• Solid understanding of on‑premise/data‑center security concepts.
• Experience with infrastructure architecture, development, support and troubleshooting.
