Senior Systems Specialist – Linux/Unix & Container Platforms

About the role

Lenovo is seeking a Senior Systems Specialist to design, deploy, and operate enterprise‑grade Linux/Unix and container platforms for government and enterprise projects. You will ensure high availability, security compliance, and seamless integration with modern DevOps tooling.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, scale, and maintain Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Docker environments across on‑premise and hybrid cloud.
• Administer and tune enterprise Linux distributions (RHEL, Oracle Linux, Euler Linux) and legacy UNIX (AIX) systems supporting container back‑ends.
• Implement security hardening to meet HKSAR Government regulations, including image scanning, RBAC, and network policies.
• Collaborate with development teams to build CI/CD pipelines and automate provisioning using Ansible, Terraform, and Helm.
• Configure clustering, CSI storage, ingress controllers, and backup solutions to achieve 99.99%+ availability.
• Act as Level‑3 escalation point, perform root‑cause analysis, and drive corrective actions.
• Maintain architecture diagrams, SOPs, and audit trails for regular security assessments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Extensive experience managing Linux/Unix systems and container orchestration platforms in enterprise settings.
• Strong understanding of government security compliance and high‑availability design.
