Senior Vice President, Senior Broker

About the role

Guy Carpenter, the world’s premier reinsurance intermediary, is seeking a Senior Vice President, Senior Broker to lead client relationships and drive innovative reinsurance solutions in the Asia Pacific region.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with clients to understand business needs and develop strong relationships.
• Design and place competitive treaty reinsurance programmes, leveraging deep market knowledge.
• Cultivate new client opportunities and contribute to revenue growth.
• Lead negotiations with carriers and guide junior staff in execution.
• Participate in budgeting and revenue processes to ensure financial success.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in quantitative, business, risk management or insurance.
• 10‑15 years of reinsurance broking or underwriting experience, focused on treaty reinsurance.
• Strong market knowledge and relationships across Asia Pacific, with on‑the‑ground experience in Hong Kong preferred.
• Proven leadership, mentorship, and ability to work in a multicultural environment.

Required skills

• Fluent in English and Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin).
• Proficient in MS Office and capable of leveraging digital tools for reinsurance analysis.
