Site Manager – Data Center Construction

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to lead on‑site construction execution for a high‑profile data centre project in Tseung Kwan O, Hong Kong. The role is fully based on‑site and requires daily oversight of all construction activities, contractor coordination and strict compliance with quality, safety and data‑centre standards.

Key responsibilities

• Stationed daily at the project site to manage and monitor construction activities, contractor workmanship, site logistics and installation quality against approved drawings and specifications.
• Supervise main contractors, MEP subcontractors and vendors; conduct daily toolbox talks and coordination meetings to resolve spatial clashes and trade interferences.
• Enforce quality control on incoming materials and workmanship; oversee inspection points, factory/site acceptance tests (FAT/SAT) and Level 1‑5 commissioning support.
• Implement and uphold Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) policies and Hong Kong safety regulations, maintaining a zero‑incident safety culture.
• Track critical paths, identify delay risks, implement mitigation plans and manage site instructions or change requests affecting budget or schedule.
• Act as the primary on‑site liaison between Project Managers, Engineers, Client Representatives and Hong Kong statutory bodies/utilities.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Building Services Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• 5 + years of on‑site construction management experience, including at least 3 years on data‑centre or mission‑critical facilities.
• Valid Hong Kong safety credentials (e.g., TCP1, Green Card, Registered Safety Officer) preferred.
• Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
• Strong problem‑solving ability, high stress tolerance and hands‑on leadership in a dynamic site environment.
