Technical Application Support Specialist

About the role

Polymer Capital Management is seeking a Technical Application Support Specialist to provide expert assistance for its Trading OMS/PMS systems. The role involves direct interaction with internal users, ensuring smooth operation of critical financial applications.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for internal users experiencing technical issues with Trading OMS/PMS systems.
• Resolve support tickets promptly and efficiently.
• Collaborate with internal teams to escalate and solve complex technical problems.
• Document procedures, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions for future reference.
• Conduct training sessions for users on system functionalities and best practices.
• Identify and propose improvements to system performance and user experience.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in technical support, preferably within the financial industry or hedge funds.
• Strong knowledge of financial systems such as trading platforms, risk management tools, and data analysis software.
• Familiarity with databases and SQL queries.
• Ability to troubleshoot network issues and perform coding tasks.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and capacity to work under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical users.
