Vice President of Merchandising

About the role

We are looking for a Vice President of Merchandising to lead the commercial launch and growth of our new Hong Kong subsidiary. The role will bridge our extensive Asian supply chain with European clients, driving business development, merchandising strategy and overall profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the business strategy for the Hong Kong entity, focusing on expanding market share and client base in Europe.
• Lead new‑business development, identify, secure and nurture strategic partnerships with European customers.
• Own the commercial P&L, drive revenue growth, manage budgets and ensure profitability.
• Oversee merchandising and sourcing functions, including product development, vendor matrix optimisation and end‑to‑end supply‑chain efficiency.
• Leverage the parent company’s manufacturing network across Asia to achieve cost, quality, speed‑to‑market and innovation targets.
• Drive global sourcing strategy, manage country diversification, risk profiling and build strategic relationships with key mills and factories.
• Build, lead and inspire a high‑performing team to execute the above initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in apparel, textiles or consumer‑goods merchandising.
• Track record of managing senior client relationships and driving growth in the European market.
• Strong commercial acumen with P&L responsibility.
• Hands‑on leader capable of building a business from the ground up.
• Deep understanding of sourcing, product development and supply‑chain optimisation.
