Account Executive - Enterprise Direct Sales

About the role

Gartner is hiring an Account Executive, a field-based, direct sales role focused on client retention and growth through contract expansion and the introduction of new products and services. You will consult with C-level executives to build and run an enterprise-wide strategy that maximizes the value of Gartner's products and services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounts with the aim of increasing customer satisfaction, retention and account growth
• Own a quota of $800,000+ of contract value across a territory of major client accounts
• Apply and consistently execute Gartner's sales methodology
• Plan accounts and manage the territory
• Maintain forecast accuracy on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
• Keep up-to-date on competitors and know Gartner's products and services in depth

Required profile

• 5-8 years of experience in consultative sales, preferably in high technology (services, software or consultative environment), with proven success
• Experience building strong client relationships at C-level within large enterprise organizations
• Bachelor's or master's degree desired

Required skills

• Intellect, drive, executive presence and sales acumen
• Strong computer proficiency and presentation skills
• Knowledge of the full sales process life cycle
