Construction Project Manager (12‑month contract)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead retail store development projects on a 12‑month contract basis. You will be responsible for overseeing new builds, renovations and reinstatements, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage budgets, schedules, procurement, quality and risk for individual store projects.
• Prepare, read and apply complex construction documents, drawings and contract specifications.
• Coordinate with Operations, Merchandising, Design, Marketing, Engineering, Facilities Management and Finance to define project scope, cost estimates and milestones.
• Identify and select external delivery resources, conduct RFPs, analyse bids and recommend suppliers.
• Value‑engineer schemes to achieve cost reductions while maintaining customer experience and quality.
• Lead project delivery using best‑practice methodologies, maintain project data integrity and produce regular status reports.
• Assess change requests, evaluate impacts on scope, budget, schedule and risk, and issue change orders.

Required profile

• Tertiary education in Architecture, Interior Design, Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• 5‑10 years of experience in chain‑store development within retail, F&B, FMCG or banking sectors.
• Proven ability to identify complex project risks, conduct constructability reviews and develop mitigation plans.
