Cyber Security Manager

About the role

Barclays is seeking a senior cyber security leader to act as the liaison between business, technology and security functions across Hong Kong, Mainland China and Taiwan. Reporting at AVP level, the role will drive implementation of cyber security policies, standards and controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information while supporting regulatory governance and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to capture security requirements and embed them into projects and processes.
• Conduct cyber risk assessments, prioritize threats and recommend mitigation strategies to senior management.
• Develop, implement and monitor security policies, procedures and controls aligned with the bank’s risk management framework.
• Lead the testing, monitoring and continuous improvement of security controls across the bank’s IT environment.
• Deliver training and awareness programmes to enhance cybersecurity culture among employees.
• Manage complex security incidents, coordinate response activities and ensure effective remediation.
• Monitor emerging threats, vulnerabilities and new security technologies, advocating adoption of appropriate solutions.

Required profile

• Significant experience in cyber security, information security or technology risk management within a regulated or complex environment.
• Proven ability to conduct risk assessments and provide risk‑based recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the capacity to influence business, technology and control functions.
• Experience working across multiple jurisdictions and interacting with regulators or governance bodies.

Required skills

• Knowledge of cyber security frameworks, standards and regulatory requirements.
• Experience managing cyber security incidents and remediation activities.
• Understanding of emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities and security technologies.
