Design Officer II – Integrated Facility Engineering

About the role

The Design Officer II will provide design and technical solutions for integrated facility engineering projects, focusing on civil, structural and building works within MTR’s railway environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop design drawings and specifications for site‑specific civil, structural and building works.
• Review system designs and propose long‑term technical solutions to improve safety, reliability and efficiency.
• Prepare and maintain engineering drawings, schematics, graphics and standard drawing libraries in line with corporate standards.
• Conduct basic engineering design and compile technical reports for internal studies and investigations.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve design‑related issues.
• Support the review and consolidation of technical drawings and specifications for tender submissions.

Required profile

• Higher Diploma or Higher Certificate in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building Studies or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience, preferably in a railway environment.
• Strong draughtsmanship skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with CAD and graphics applications such as AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Ability to use digital graphics equipment.
