Desktop Support Engineer

About the role

Balyasny Asset Management is seeking a proactive Desktop Support Engineer to deliver high‑quality end‑user support across its global offices. The role involves maintaining Windows and Office 365 environments, managing devices, and ensuring seamless connectivity for traders and executives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide global desktop and end‑user support, including executive and remote users.
• Support Office 365 applications, Windows 10, Active Directory, and Exchange Online.
• Manage Citrix Cloud and Microsoft Azure VDA/VDI platforms.
• Maintain HP workstations, thin clients, Lenovo laptops, and Cisco VoIP phone systems.
• Administer mobile devices via MobileIron MDM.
• Support video‑conferencing tools such as Zoom, Neat, and Poly.
• Assist users of market‑data applications like Bloomberg Anywhere/Terminal.
• Troubleshoot basic network issues (DNS, DHCP, VPN, VDI connectivity).
• Log and resolve tickets in JIRA Service Desk, ensuring thorough documentation.
• Handle office moves, device inventory, asset management, and employee onboarding/offboarding.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of desktop support experience in a hedge fund or investment‑advisor environment.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with excellent written and oral communication.
• Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently while multitasking.
• Passion for technology and continuous self‑development.
