Director, Partnership Management and Strategy

About the role

Prudential Hong Kong is looking for a Director of Partnership Management and Strategy. The role leads the identification, evaluation, acquisition and activation of new distribution partners to support the company's growth ambitions, and works closely with internal stakeholders across Distribution, Product, Operations, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Finance and Marketing.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, acquire and activate new distribution partners.
• Conduct market assessments and competitive analysis to spot emerging partnership opportunities and growth sectors.
• Develop prospecting strategies and engagement plans to build a pipeline of potential partners.
• Drive end-to-end partnership development, from opportunity assessment and business case preparation through negotiation, contracting, onboarding and execution.
• Provide strategic advice on new distribution models, partnership propositions and go-to-market strategies.
• Lead the development and negotiation of commercial agreements aligned with business objectives, regulatory requirements and customer needs.
• Design and oversee onboarding and activation plans to accelerate partner productivity.
• Monitor market trends, customer behaviour and competitor developments to recommend new growth opportunities.
• Build strong senior-level relationships with external partners and industry stakeholders.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience in strategic partnerships, business development, distribution management, consulting or a related commercial leadership role.
• Strong understanding of Hong Kong's financial services and insurance landscape.
• Proven track record originating, negotiating and implementing complex partnership arrangements.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Chinese.
