Senior Director, Agency Leader Development

About the role

This role is responsible for designing and delivering the group-wide Agency strategy and programmes focused on developing NextGen Agency Leaders, which is critical to sustainable growth. It sits within the central / Group Agency team and supports overall central Agency business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Significantly increase the Agency channel NBP by improving both the quality and quantity of agency leaders.
• Collaborate with central Agency and other stakeholders to deliver the group-wide strategic plan for Agency.
• Guide and/or lead Local Business Units (LBUs) to design and implement Agency Leader financing schemes that attract and develop talent.
• Guide and/or lead LBUs to design and implement the Agency Leader Development Roadmap.
• Monitor and review Agency channel performance, especially the quality and quantity of Agency Leaders, and provide timely analytics, business insights and strategic guidance to help deliver targets.
• Provide day-to-day or onsite business management leadership when requested by LBUs.
• Facilitate best-practice sharing across countries and build leadership and agency management capability for LBUs.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in Agency management, with deep knowledge of agency leader development, quality recruitment and Agency training.
• Minimum 10 years of leadership experience and a track record in the life insurance sector; leading an Agency channel at Asian country level is a plus.
• Understanding of the insurance industry, including current and emerging business models.
• University degree or above; a major in Business, Commerce, Actuarial Science or equivalent is preferred.
