Group Controller

About the role

The Group Controller will oversee the day‑to‑day accounting activities of G2 Travel’s Hong Kong parent entities. This senior finance position ensures accurate financial records, compliance with local statutory and tax requirements, and supports both internal and external audit processes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accounting records for Hong Kong entities, ensuring accurate journal entries and reconciliations.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations where applicable.
• Manage intercompany reconciliations, funding, loans, and recharge arrangements in line with Group policies.
• Coordinate month‑end and year‑end closing activities, delivering complete and accurate financial statements on schedule.
• Maintain fixed‑asset registers, prepaid expenses, accruals, and other balance‑sheet schedules.
• Support preparation of statutory accounting records, tax filings, and regulatory compliance documentation.
• Ensure adherence to Hong Kong accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Provide guidance to junior accounting staff and promote best practices.
• Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes, internal controls, and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA qualification.
• 10 years of experience at a Big Four or reputable second‑tier accounting firm (audit/assurance).
• Additional 10 years in corporate finance or accounting roles.
• Experience with Hong Kong entities or multinational companies is an advantage.
