Head of IT Infrastructure

About the role

TradeBeyond is seeking a seasoned technical professional to lead its global cloud infrastructure team. The role oversees development, testing and production environments for enterprise SaaS solutions across Asia, Europe and the US, ensuring security, stability and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a distributed team in Hong Kong, mainland China, Europe and the US to manage cloud infrastructure for enterprise SaaS solutions.
• Manage development, testing and production environments in public clouds, meeting security, stability, resiliency, business continuity, performance, scalability and integration requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement in infrastructure design, configuration management, automation and cost optimisation.
• Support SOC 2 Type 2 certification efforts and coordinate with external auditors.
• Collaborate with product and application teams to enhance infrastructure and related processes.
• Oversee IT help‑desk operations, internal tools, office network and system adoption.
• Assess and manage IT vendors to align with organisational goals and standards.

Required profile

• 15+ years of hands‑on IT infrastructure experience, including at least 8 years in a leadership or team‑lead role.
• Bachelor’s degree in an information‑technology‑related field.
• Extensive experience with major public clouds (AWS, Azure; certifications preferred, GCP experience a plus).
• Proven expertise in cloud networking, NGINX, Kubernetes, Java applications, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, Redis/Valkey, RabbitMQ/Azure Service Bus, and object storage (AWS S3, Azure Blob).
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure‑as‑code and tools such as Jenkins.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with ability to work cross‑functionally and negotiate with vendors.
• Fluent in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua) and eligible to work in Hong Kong without sponsorship.
