Japanese‑Speaking B2B General Insurance Sales Consultant

About the role

This position is for a Japanese‑speaking professional who will act as a trusted risk consultant for Japanese corporate clients of a global general insurance broker. The focus is on building long‑term relationships rather than cold‑calling, working closely with insurers and corporate decision‑makers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and support existing Japanese corporate clients, including policy renewals and relationship management.
• Introduce tailored insurance solutions to prospective clients and coordinate quotations and coverage with insurance companies.
• Support claim handling, customer enquiries, and prepare comparison reports, presentations, and marketing materials.
• Accompany senior management to client meetings and provide professional risk‑management recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (university graduate).
• Minimum 3 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in insurance or corporate solutions.
• Business‑level Japanese (JLPT N2 or above) plus Cantonese, Mandarin and English proficiency.
• Experience dealing with Japanese companies or understanding Japanese business culture.
• Ability to obtain IIQE (1,2,3) licence after joining.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
