Manager, China Strategic Management

About the role

Prudential is looking for a Manager, China Strategic Management to support the Director in delivering strong corporate governance, high-impact strategic engagements and events, and business initiatives between the life joint venture in China and its asset management arm, together with Prudential Group and other key stakeholders. The role focuses on board effectiveness, stakeholder management and cross-border execution in a complex joint venture environment.

Key responsibilities

• Corporate governance and board effectiveness: support end-to-end Board and committee governance, assist with director onboarding and offboarding, review and track Board papers, resolutions and minutes, update Articles of Association and governance frameworks, and liaise with Group functions and external advisors
• Strategic engagements, events and senior visits: plan and run JV Board meetings, senior leadership and GEC visits, bilateral shareholder engagements and anniversary events, manage logistics and protocol, prepare briefing notes and talk points, and maintain engagement trackers
• Business initiatives and cross-border collaboration: support talent exchanges, cross-postings and secondments, coordinate with Group HR, Risk, Compliance, Audit, Legal, Finance and WFOE governance, and help prepare and track MoUs and service agreements

Required profile

• 3-7+ years' experience in corporate governance, audit, risk management, compliance, company secretarial or related functions
• Solid experience in Mainland China life insurance companies; life insurance JV experience strongly preferred
• Bachelor's degree or above; legal, finance, accounting, risk management or related background preferred
• Fluent spoken and written Mandarin and English, with proven ability to draft high-quality bilingual materials
• Willingness to travel to mainland China occasionally
