Onsite Support Technician – AV Integration

About the role

The Onsite Support Technician partners with customers, internal teams and global helpdesk to deliver on‑premises audiovisual support for AVI‑SPL clients. The role focuses on ensuring conference spaces run smoothly and providing a world‑class customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and break down conference rooms to meet event requirements.
• Perform preventative maintenance on AV equipment and spaces.
• Provide timely field service support for networked devices.
• Collaborate professionally with internal and external teams.
• Follow local safety standards and document site work.
• Deliver end‑user training as needed.
• Travel to multiple customer sites, including construction‑type environments.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work after hours and weekends when required.
• Comfortable climbing ladders and handling equipment.
• Effective communication with employees, customers and colleagues.
• Independent work ethic with deadline focus.

Required skills

• Basic computer knowledge.
• Understanding of basic signal flow for audio, video and control.
• Experience with hand and power tools.
• Setup and troubleshooting of audio/video/presentation systems.
• Field service support of networked devices.
• Intermediate PC troubleshooting.
