Project Engineer – Power Systems

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Project Engineer to support the execution of power system control, protection, substation automation and communication projects. You will work closely with the Project Manager and senior engineers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide schedule input for design tasks and assist in preparing task budgets.
• Review plans, technical specifications, contract documents and cost estimates.
• Support senior engineers in design development, construction review and problem resolution.
• Manage meeting minutes, track action items and review contractor sub‑mittals.
• Supervise subcontractor work and provide technical support on‑site.
• Prepare regular project reports covering progress, planning, financials and safety.
• Coordinate with customers, factories and third‑party suppliers for design, manufacturing, delivery and after‑sales service.
• Ensure compliance with SOX, IMS, cyber‑security and health‑safety regulations.
• Participate in 24/7 emergency service rotations (overtime paid).

Required profile

• Degree or higher diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in HV/MV power substations or related fields.
• Grade B Registered Electrical Worker Certificate (advantageous).
• Experience in testing and commissioning of HV transmission/distribution substations.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Self‑motivated, able to work under pressure and independently.
• Fluent in spoken and written English; Chinese language skills are a plus.
