Quantitative Developer - Hong Kong

About the role

A top high-frequency trading firm is looking for a Quantitative Developer to join its team of technologists and researchers in Hong Kong. The role involves designing and building high-performance trading systems that power global markets, with access to cutting-edge infrastructure and the chance to see your work directly affect live-trading performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and optimise high-performance trading systems and infrastructure.
• Work with researchers and traders to turn ideas into robust, scalable production code.
• Improve system reliability, latency and scalability across mission-critical components.
• Enhance deployment workflows and monitoring tools for seamless live trading.
• Build internal platforms and frameworks that speed up research and strategy deployment.

Required profile

• 3-10 years of experience in a quantitative, trading or development role at a top-tier proprietary trading firm, hedge fund or similar.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or another quantitative discipline.
• Experience building production systems for trading, research or real-time analytics.
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail, excellent communication and a collaborative approach.

Required skills

• Strong programming in Python and/or C++, focused on performance, reliability and scalability.
