Sales Associate - Wanchai Shop

About the role

Monocle is looking for a personable Sales Associate for its Wanchai shop in Hong Kong. The shop brings the magazine's world to life with a selection of clothing, accessories and objects from around the world. This is a part-time position of three days per week, with a flexible shift schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome customers, start conversations and offer thoughtful, knowledgeable advice.
• Learn the stories behind Monocle's products so you can recommend them confidently.
• Help the team meet sales goals while keeping the shop looking its best.
• Support the day-to-day running of the shop, from inventory and merchandising to opening and closing tasks.
• Work closely with colleagues to deliver the high standards customers expect.

Required profile

• Reliable, attentive to detail and comfortable taking initiative.
• Enjoys working with people, stays organised when the shop is busy and is keen to learn.
• Experience in retail, particularly with clothing or leather goods, is welcome.
• Eligible to work in Hong Kong.

Required skills

• Confident speaking with customers in Cantonese and English; conversational Mandarin is a strong advantage.
• Comfortable using everyday computer tools.

Shifts run from 11:00 to 19:00 with a flexible lunch break, and you must be available to work on weekends.
