Sales Director – Financial Data & Analytics

About the role

BMLL provides Level 3, 2 and 1 historical data and analytics for global equities, ETFs, futures and US equity options, with T+1 order book data. As Sales Director, you will drive revenue growth through new client sales, build a strong pipeline and develop relationships with the capital markets community. The role works with the Head of APAC Sales, focusing on Sell Side Banks, hedge funds and proprietary trading firms. It is a quota-bearing position.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect new clients and manage a pipeline of new accounts from lead generation to contract execution
• Negotiate and sell the BMLL vision to new clients, including complex technical sales cycles with quant research heads, CTOs and execution desk leaders
• Analyse prospective clients' requirements and relay their feedback to the Product Team
• Manage the full client procurement and vendor onboarding process

Required profile

• 8+ years of sales experience with a proven track record of generating significant new business revenue
• A strong personal network in the APAC sell side, hedge fund and prop trading community
• Experience closing large-ticket contracts (over $250k-$1m ACV) and displacing competitors
• Technical understanding of market microstructure, Asian exchange ecosystems and hedge fund structures
• Excellent spoken and written English and Mandarin, with Cantonese fluency highly preferred
• Strong CRM skills, proficiency with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and ability to sell to buyers up to C-suite executives

Required skills

• Working knowledge of cloud data delivery (AWS S3), data formats (Parquet, CSV) and APIs used by quantitative researchers
• Enterprise sales methodologies such as MEDDPIC or Target Account Selling
• Modern social selling and digital prospecting
