Senior Backend Developer – Java

About the role

Binance is seeking a Senior Backend Developer with strong Java expertise to design, build, and maintain high‑performance services that power the world’s leading cryptocurrency exchange. You will work in a fast‑paced, globally distributed team, delivering reliable, low‑latency systems for millions of users.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product owners and engineers to translate business requirements into robust services.
• Write clean, testable Java (or Python) code and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
• Proactively tune performance, troubleshoot incidents, and ensure system reliability.
• Mentor junior developers and share best‑practice engineering standards.
• Work across multiple engineering teams to integrate solutions and drive architectural improvements.

Required profile

• 5+ years of full‑lifecycle development experience in Java and/or Python.
• Strong understanding of software design, architecture, event processing, multi‑threading, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Hands‑on experience with Spring, Spring Boot, MyBatis, MySQL, Redis, Kafka, and cloud‑native deployments.
• Proven ability to build high‑availability, high‑throughput, low‑latency systems.
• Practical experience using AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) in production.
• Fluent English for collaboration with global partners; degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
