Senior Finance Manager

About the role

We are looking for a highly analytical Senior Finance Manager to join us on a project basis. The role balances day‑to‑day financial stability with the agility needed to drive strategic initiatives, acting as a bridge between rigorous controls and new‑business finance workstreams.

Key responsibilities

• Finance Business As Usual – oversee monthly management accounts, variance analysis and financial packs for leadership; supervise core finance functions (AP, AR, Payroll) and ensure smooth month‑end and year‑end closes.
• Compliance & Governance – guarantee adherence to local statutory requirements, tax filings and internal controls; manage relationships with auditors, tax agents and bankers.
• Project Financial Lead – serve as finance representative on key projects such as system migrations, market expansions and product launches; develop business cases, financial models, cost‑benefit analyses and ROI tracking.
• Process Improvement – identify inefficiencies, lead automation initiatives and integrate project outcomes into the BAU framework.
• Strategic Ad‑hoc Support – provide financial modelling, deep‑dive analysis and troubleshoot complex accounting or legacy data issues.

Required profile

• Professional qualification: CA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA or MBA (Finance).
• 6‑8 years of progressive finance experience, preferably with Big 4/audit background and commercial exposure; SFC type 1 experience is a plus.
• Proven track record of finance‑related project involvement (ERP implementation, M&A integration, process re‑engineering).
• Strong communication skills to translate financial data into actionable insights for non‑finance stakeholders.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, look‑ups, complex modelling).
• Experience with major ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or Xero.
