Senior IT Service Specialist

About the role

The Senior IT Service Specialist provides real‑time technical assistance to traders, portfolio managers and senior management in a fast‑paced investment environment. The role requires strong technical expertise, the ability to stay calm under pressure, and a solid understanding of front‑office tools.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary technology contact for trading and investment desks, handling incidents and service requests that affect business operations.
• Support front‑office applications such as Bloomberg Terminal, Enfusion, FactSet and related market‑data services.
• Provide urgent technical assistance during trading hours, covering desktop, applications, Microsoft 365, advanced Excel, network connectivity, video conferencing and market‑data infrastructure.
• Manage the incident and request lifecycle in the IT Service Management (ITSM) tool, ensuring tickets meet SLA commitments.
• Maintain accurate IT asset records and coordinate device replacement, repair and disposal.
• Assist IT procurement by gathering requirements, preparing purchase requests and liaising with vendors, procurement and finance teams.
• Collaborate with vendors for system upgrades, maintenance and issue resolution.
• Participate in IT projects such as system upgrades, office moves and new technology roll‑outs.
• Monitor system health, perform routine checks and enforce IT policies and security standards.
• Promote AI‑enabled service tools (Microsoft 365 Copilot, chatbots, knowledge‑base automation) to improve user experience and reduce repetitive requests.
• Provide user training on IT best practices, policies and software usage.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering high‑quality technical support in a front‑office or trading environment.
• Ability to remain composed and make rapid decisions under pressure.
• Strong understanding of investment‑desk workflows and market‑data dependencies.
