Senior Merchandise Planner

About the role

CASETiFY is seeking a Senior Merchandise Planner to lead end‑to‑end planning and inventory allocation across its global retail, online, marketplace and distribution channels. The role focuses on maximizing sales, profitability and customer satisfaction while maintaining optimal inventory levels.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the open‑to‑buy (OTB) planning process and develop merchandise plan frameworks by category and channel.
• Own assortment planning and merchandise mix, analysing daily to seasonal sales data to optimise SKU efficiency.
• Collaborate with country, retail and marketplace teams to forecast sales, manage material shortages/excesses and report key performance indicators.
• Work with product development and procurement to track deliveries, restock dates and support new product introductions and phase‑outs.
• Validate forecasts, assess accuracy, perform root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Continuously improve material allocation procedures, systems and policies, and prepare data presentations.
• Support ad‑hoc projects and new initiatives as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Analytics or a related field.
• 5‑6+ years of experience in merchandise planning, demand planning, inventory management or product management, preferably in FMCG or retail.
• Fluent in English and Chinese; Cantonese is a plus.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
• Self‑motivated, agile and comfortable in a dynamic environment.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP and MRP systems.
• Proficiency in Business Intelligence tools, especially Tableau.
• Advanced Excel skills, including macros and VBA.
