Software Developer I (Full Stack / Backend)

About the role

Wati is looking for a Software Developer I to design, build, and maintain the backend services and APIs that power its SaaS platform and WhatsApp Business solutions. You will work closely with frontend, mobile, and product teams to deliver new features and improve system reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs for the Wati platform.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver new features efficiently.
• Write clean, maintainable code and participate in design discussions and code reviews.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize performance across components.
• Support continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and propose enhancements for scalability and performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in backend or full‑stack development.
• Proactive learner who enjoys collaborative problem solving in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Backend development with C# or Golang.
• Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL).
• Design and consumption of RESTful APIs.
• Version control using Git.
• Cloud deployment experience on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Optional: Frontend development with JavaScript or TypeScript, familiarity with React or React Native.
