System Engineer – Full‑Stack & Cloud Infrastructure

About the role

Toroa is seeking a System Engineer to design, implement, and maintain the IT systems that power its investment and business operations. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to translate technology needs into reliable, secure infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor system performance and resolve technical incidents promptly.
• Perform upgrades, configuration changes, and capacity planning for servers and cloud resources.
• Ensure system security, audit configurations, and manage authentication mechanisms.
• Document system architectures, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with developers to support full‑stack applications and API services.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience on the buy‑side; fresh graduates may be considered based on skillset.
• Strong English communication skills; Chinese is a plus.
• Proactive, self‑motivated, and high integrity.

Required skills

• Full‑stack development: JavaScript/React (or similar) front‑ends and Python (FastAPI) back‑ends.
• API design: REST and WebSocket.
• Database: PostgreSQL schema design, RBAC, performance tuning, backups.
• Cloud & infrastructure: AWS (IAM, VPC, EC2, RDS, ALB, ACM).
• Linux server administration, nginx reverse‑proxy, TLS configuration.
• Cloudflare Tunnel/DNS management.
• Authentication & security: JWT, session‑based auth, RBAC design, audit for drift.
• Version control: Git, CI/CD deployment workflows.
